The BMW Serie 3 has been on sale since 1975. In that time it has had 12 generations or facelifts: E21 (1975), E30 (1982), E30 restyling (1987), E36 (1990), E46 (1998), E46 restyling (2001), E90 (2005), E90 restyling (2008), F30 (2012), F30 restyling (2015), G20 (2019) and G20 restyling (2022).
